Custom Wedding Gown Process
Moonlight and Moss was started as a result of a lifelong love for dresses and all things weddings and lace. Working one-on-one with brides to create their dream dress has allowed the opportunity to create modern and romantic gowns that are effortlessly stylish and just as unique as the bride.
Custom bridal is not only perfect for the bride that wants to be one-of-a-kind, but for the woman that wants something created just for her personality and body. With gown prices starting at $2,000 a custom wedding gown is an option for all Hill Country brides!
Consultation
The consultation is the perfect time to sit down with designer Shelbi Sloane to discuss design details and all of the bride's ideas about her custom gown and style. At this time the bride will get to try on dress samples, talk about ideas, and view lace and fabrics. Shortly after this initial consultation a quote and timeline will be provided.
Cotton Muslin Fitting
Once a bride decides to proceed with the custom gown process the second meeting consists of a cotton gown fitting. This is the time to check the fit and silhouette that was originally discussed in the consultation. During the second fitting we will be able to confirm the design details and small design details can be changed.
Fine Fabric Fittings
In addition to the consultation and cotton fitting, 2-3 fittings with the fine fabric will be required to ensure the perfect fit. This process takes on average 3-4 months and requires no additional alterations since the gown is tailor-made for the bride.
Not local to Texas, but looking to order a custom gown? No problem! Based on your ideas we can create a one-of-a-kind wedding gown. The process begins with a phone consultation to discuss your ideas and style.
From there a custom sketch and quote are created for you and fabrics will be sourced based on your bridal style and sent to you.
Once we have your details confirmed and you provide your measurements your bespoke wedding gown is created. Once it arrived you may need some standard alterations that can be handled by any professional wedding gown seamstress!
